L’Imola Triathlon conquista il primo posto al triathlon Città di Faenza

L’Imola Triathlon ha conquistato il primo posto nella classifica a squadre nel triathlon disputatosi domenica 31 agosto a Faenza.

La squadra imolese ha portato alla gara che si svolge tra la piscina comunale, la strada che porta al circuito dei Coralli ed il parco Bucci, e che rappresenta un appuntamento fisso in Romagna per gli appassionati di questo sport, ben 41 iscritti suddivisi nelle diverse categorie.

Nella prova sprint (750 metri di nuoto, 22 km in bicicletta e 5 km di corsa), vinta per il secondo anno consecutivo da Mattia Ceccarelli del Td di Rimini, gli imolesi che hanno tagliato il traguardo sono stati 37. Tra di essi spiccano il 5° posto di Luca Cavina nella gara maschile e il 10° posto di Giada Golinelli nella gara femminile.

Nella prova promozionale, disputatasi sulle distanze di 250 metri a nuoto, 15 km in bici e 2,5 km di corsa, l’Imola Triathlon ha schierato Samuele Scardovi che è giunto 7°. La squadra imolese a Faenza era rappresentata anche da 6 giovani atleti che si sono cimentati nelle rispettive categorie. Tra i cuccioli Alberto Salomoni si è classificato 5°, tra gli esordienti Alessandro Salomoni 9°, mentre tra gli Youth Riccardo Gaddoni è salito sul podio tagliando il traguardo in 3ª posizione.

Di certo un buon risultato per una squadra nata solo alcuni mesi fa, ma che dalla scorsa primavera ha visto gareggiare i propri atleti in buona parte delle principali competizioni di triathlon che si svolgono in giro per l’Italia, dove non sono peraltro mancati i buoni risultati.

La gara di Faenza è stata organizzata come sempre in maniera impeccabile e ha consentito di raccogliere 7mila euro che verranno destinati al sostegno di iniziative di solidarietà e promozione sociale.
